The Windows PC version of the Blizzard Arcade Collection will be included in the commemorative collection, a bundle containing items from several Blizzard games, launched earlier this month in celebration of Blizzard’s 30th anniversary. Players who have already purchased the product will automatically receive the Blizzard Arcade Collection.
Blizzard Entertainment CEO J. Allen Brack said at the BlizzConline opening ceremony, “The Lost Vikings, Rock and Roll Racing, and Blackthorn provided the basis for us to create Warcraft, Diablo, and StarCraft.” “I thought the Blizzard Arcade Collection was a fun and appropriate way to watch it,” he said.
“Many Blizzard gamers around the world have heartfelt memories of these games, and they often asked for re-release to the latest platform, so this release not only meets their wishes, but also brings new elements and features to each game. We are truly happy to be able to further develop the game experience by adding it.”
The games included in the Blizzard Arcade collection are available in the original and upgraded final editions, with each version supporting custom hotkey settings and rewinding up to 10 seconds.
The Lost Viking and Blackthorn original editions include a’viewing mode’, allowing players to jump into the game at any time and operate directly while watching the game progress.
In addition, the ability to save your progress anywhere is included in all versions of each game except for the final edition of Rock and Roll Racing.
Finally, a variety of bonus materials, including game art, development materials, unused content, worldview stories, interviews, and much more, complete the Blizzard Arcade collection.
