Game Reflections: Line-up Changes, Game Maturity, and European Cups

What match have you played?

Definitely not easy. We suspected that the home team would want to pull out and fight to the last breath. That was confirmed. But we used our game maturity. We needed to rotate the line-up a bit, compared to the weekend league there were seven changes in the starting line-up.

Was it the reason for the worse first half?

Probably yes. We said something about the break and reacted correctly. I didn’t like the first half very much, but after the goals were scored it was fine. The main thing was to safely guard the lead and contribute to the Czech coefficient.

Is it very important to you that even with a large number of injured people, it was possible to give the opportunity to more players?

We needed to air out the squad. Players who have not played for a long time in recent weeks, such as Venca Jemelka or Libor Holík, have started. They were meant to be given a chance. It was possible to distribute the forces, in this regard, satisfaction.

On the weekend you play Olomouc, then the first match of the final preliminary round. Does the team have the strength to handle the program?

That remains to be seen. We will have six English weeks in a row, no easy feat. We will prepare and we will want to advance.

Are you worried about a possible trip to Kazakhstan?

The word fear does not belong in football, the destination is in European cups and we have to respect that. Certainly more demanding than flying to Ireland, but Kostanaj or Derry? I don’t have a dream opponent out of these two.
