In the same way that new games are added to Game Pass every month, we also see some games disappear from the service. However, one of the games that was recently added to the Coming Soon tab surprised gamers.
After checking out Game Pass, players learned that Quantum Break, the third-person shooter developed by Remedy, will be leaving Microsoft’s subscription service soon. Interestingly, the game was published by Microsoft, which also owns the IP. Seeing an Xbox game leave the company’s own service is a bit odd and incomprehensible, as that usually doesn’t happen.
User theories to explain this can vary widely, such as copyright issues with songs or even with the image of Lance Reddick, the actor who played one of the characters in the game and who recently died. True, in these cases, the game would also have to disappear from sale in the store, which has not yet been observed.
Others even cite the possibility that Remedy acquired the rights to the game from Microsoft. Remedy has done something similar in the past when they brought back the rights to Alan Wake to add her to their shared gaming universe.
Unfortunately, there is no explanation yet as to why Quantum Break is leaving Microsoft’s subscription service. Therefore, if you are interested in the game, it is better to play it while there is still time.
