Game optimization software can enable DLAA support in DLSS-compatible games

NVIDIA DLAA (Deep Learning Antialiasing) is basically DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) without the upscaling part. This algorithm enhances the details in each image in the same way as traditional antialiasing techniques, only with the power of AI. DLAA technology improves the picture quality of games that already run excellently on the existing hardware. For this reason, it is usually used in games that do not require powerful graphics processors.

However, in some cases, players prefer to throttle the framerate and watch games in higher quality instead of increasing the framerate. Unfortunately, DLAA support is limited to only some games, but there are cases where developers add DLAA support regardless of how well it runs on current hardware, the most recent example being Hogwarts Legacy. In total, there are 17 games that support DLAA, and you can find the full list below.

For all other games, the DLSSTweaks plugin can help. This plugin enforces DLAA mode for DLSS games that do not currently support this technology. In addition, it also supports the new DLSS 3.1 profiles, so there is definitely some field for fine-tuning for each game. The latest update brought hooks for Vulkan API functions, which should enable support for Vulkan games (e.g. the Doom series), but this has not been tested yet. So far there are 17 games that are known to work with the mod.

These games are already supported:

  • Dying Light 2
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider
  • Judgment
  • Lost Judgment
  • Death Stranding
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Red Dead Redemption 2 (rename to XInput9_1_0.dll)
  • Plague Tale Requiem (UE4)
  • Chernobylite (UE4)
  • Ghostwire Tokyo (UE4)
  • God of War
  • Uncharted 4
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • Deathloop
  • Ready Or Not (UE4)
  • HITMAN 3
  • Nioh 2

Games that are unfortunately not yet supported despite DLSS:

  • FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch
  • Mortal Shell
  • Minecraft Bedrock Edition (DLAA shows only half screen)

Those who would like to try out the plugin can now download it directly from GitHub, this requires a configuration file, which must first be changed. Also, be careful with games that use an anti-cheat system
