Ian Gelder, the actor who played Kevan Lannister in the fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones’, died on Monday at the age of 74. This was announced by his partner Ben Daniels.
The British actor’s career also included roles in series such as Torchwood, His Dark Materials, Doctor Who. Five months ago, Gelder was diagnosed with bile duct cancer.
Daniels called his husband an “amazing actor” and an “absolute rock” on Instagram. “He endured his terrible illness with such courage. He was the kindest, most generous, spirited, and loving human being. He was a great actor, everyone who worked with him was touched by his heart and his light.”
