Scottish actor John Stahl has died. Stahl was best known to us for his role in the hit series Game of Thrones where he played Rickard Karstarck.

John Stahl died on the Isle of Lewis. He was 68 years old. His manager Amanda Fitzalan Howard describes him as “an exceptional actor and an icon of Scottish theatre”. His most famous roles were that of Inveradarroch in Take the High Road from 1982 to 2003. In our country, however, his most famous role will be that of Rickard Karstark in Game of Thrones. He held that role for two seasons.
