National basketball player Satou Sabally showed confidence ahead of her debut at the WNBA All-Star Game on Wednesday night (local time) in Las Vegas.
The 23-year-old announced, among other things, a dunk against Brittney Griner, who is over two meters tall. Sabally meets with the team WNBA on the US national team, which the duel in preparation for the Olympic Games uses.
During training, Sabally also hit a throw from the center line with her teammate from the Dallas Wings, Arike Ogunbowale, one after the other. She was also asked by Ogunbowale if she would dunk against Griner, which Sabally answered dryly with a “yep”.
Sabally, who grew up in Berlin, was selected in second place in the draft by the Dallas Wings last year – earlier than anyone else from Germany in a US professional league. In her second season in the best women’s basketball league in the world, Sabally averaged 12.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
