Roma. The match between Udinese and Roma, corresponding to the 32nd round of the Italian Serie A, was stopped and then suspended this Sunday after an illness by Roma player Evan Ndicka, who according to the Italian press is out of danger.
Roma’s Ivorian defender fainted around the 70th minute and his teammates immediately required assistance from the club’s medical services.
Ndicka, conscious according to the images broadcast by the DAZN platform, was evacuated on a stretcher and arrived by raising his thumb to convey reassurance about his condition.
According to the newspaper’s website The Gazzetta dello Sport, The player will remain under observation in a hospital in Udine, where he already received a visit from his coach, Daniele De Rossi, and his captain, Lorenzo Pellegrini, before the team headed back to Rome.

Roma is fifth (56 points) and Udinese is fifteenth (29 points).
Ndicka, 24 years old and trained at French side Auxerre, joined Roma in the middle of last year after five seasons at German side Eintracht Frankfurt.
He is an international with the Ivory Coast and was with the ‘Elephants’ when they won the African Cup of Nations (CAN) title earlier this year.
This Sunday he was playing his nineteenth Serie A match this season.
