Game 2 Recap: Olimpia Milano Beats Dinamo Sassari 80-75

The second half opens with a triple of Shieldsto which the basket of Deaf. After a nice basket of Napier, Stephens continua a far male all’Olympiad marking yet another alley-oop in the series, signing the new -1 Dinamo. Voigtmann scores an important triple in the middle of the third quarter, giving his team the new lead, before the basket by Shields. The Dynamo Sassari still wanting to stay in the game, not raising the white flag and finding a basket with Bendzius. Datome picks up where he left off and scores the +6 basket, but the Sardinians are still in the slipstream: at the end of the third quarter the score is 60-56. The fourth period opens with a triple than usual Datome, signed by the Milanese +7. There Dynamo Sassari now he seems to have less energy, showing little offensive lucidity in the first minutes of the fourth quarter. Still Datome with the triple of +8 Olympiad, proving once again that he knows how to raise his level when the game really counts. In the middle of the fourth period theOlympia Milan try to escape with Shieldscol Forum which is a factor, and hits +10. There Dynamo Sassari with two consecutive triples he shortens the gap, but Napier signs the new +8. He fails to escape, with the Sardinians coming back 4 points down with 1.45 from the end and ball in hand. Jones misses an important shot, but there is a foul in attack by Napier. Deaf scores -2 Sassari at 46”, but then sends to the line Napier which makes 0/2, with a subsequent Milanese throw-in for deviation of Bendzius. Still Napier in the line, this time with a 2/2 for +4 Milano a 14”. Bendzius is 1/2 from the lunette, Baron 2/2 and definitively closes the game. L’Olympia Milan he also wins game 2 80-75.

L’Olympia Milan will be back on the field for game 3 of the LBA playoffs against the Dynamo Sassari Thursday 1 June at 21.00, with the series moving to PalaSerradimigni. Subsequently, if needed, race 4 is scheduled for Saturday 3 June at 21.00, obviously still in Sardinia.
