Charcoal Grill of Galway, a popular takeaway, has responded to a customer’s joke about remortgaging their house due to the price of their food. The customer had posted a picture of their receipt displaying a cost of €15.50 for a chicken doner meal deal, also including chips and a drink. Charcoal Grill explained that their prices have changed due to inflation, and that the €15.50 price tag was for sitting inside the restaurant, whereas a chicken kebab alone is €10. While the post had mixed responses from customers, Charcoal Grill has been a staple of Galway cuisine for two decades. Stay updated on the latest news by signing up for our daily newsletter.
