Mexico City. The dissemination this day of a video in which Juan Pablo Sánchez Gálvez, son of the presidential candidate of Fuerza y Corazón por México (PAN, PRI and PRD), Xóchitl Gálvez, is seen in an apparent state of intoxication, generated that hours later, Sánchez will announce that he is retiring from his duties as coordinator of the network of young people who promote the presidential standard-bearer, called “Xóvenes sin fear.”
The video in which he is seen in an uncomfortable state began to circulate in the morning. In the 5 and a half minutes that it lasts, he is seen repeatedly pushing workers from a club, presumably from the Polanco area, and who insist that he leave the site. By throwing insults and homophobic expressions, he challenges the employees, who when they warn him that he was about to push a woman, he responds, “I don’t care if I hit the girls.”
A few hours later, Sánchez Gálvez was seen leaving the presidential candidate’s campaign house with a bewildered look. At the same time, he posted a video on his X (Twitter) account in which he apologized for the video; He clarified that this was an event from a year ago, and at the time he went to the establishment to apologize to the security workers.
“A video is circulating on social networks where unfortunately I am in a bad condition,” says Juan Pablo Sánchez who expressed that “I am very sorry for my actions and there is no justification for acting like this.”
Furthermore, he noted: “I am here to stand up to them, recognize my mistakes and assume my responsibility, which is why I have decided to step aside from my position as leader of the youth network, and I will continue to support my mother like a son. And believe me, I have worked and will continue working to be a better person.”
As of this afternoon, the presidential candidate has not commented on the matter.
