Gallinari atina 10 triples; Hawks aplastan a Celtics

Danilo Gallinari set a franchise record with 10 3-pointers as part of a 38-point production that led the Atlanta Hawks to a 127-112 rout of the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.

The Italian broke the nine-triple mark set by Steve Smith in a 1997 game against Seattle. The Hawks also eclipsed the team’s record, hitting 23 of 42 three-point shots.

Trae Young played as an All-Star participant. He had 33 points and the Hawks took the lead by 27 in the first half.

A few gray Celtics never threatened that lead and suffered their third consecutive loss.

Gallinari, one of the top free agents signed by the Hawks, who were active in the market before the season, matched his career best, scoring 24 points in the first two quarters.

He ended up hitting 10 of 12 triples and 13 of 16 overall.
