Galkins responds to allegations that he is ridiculing Russia

Russian comedian Maxim Galkin has responded to allegations that he was ridiculing his homeland on Instagram.

Mr Galkin has responded to attempts by Russian propaganda channels to find evidence in his jokes that he is mocking his homeland.

In the video that the comedian has posted on social networks, he clearly indicates what is being ridiculed.

“Some media outlets, looking at excerpts from the concerts I’m currently performing with, are trying to present what I’m doing on stage as a muddy homeland. So remember: in the 28 years I’ve performed, I haven’t slandered my beloved Russia with a single word. “For all these 28 years, I have parodyed politicians, ridiculed lying, pathetic propagandists and corrupt officials who are robbing my Russian people. And as a satirist, I have the right to do so and I will continue to do so,” says the video Galkins.

He points out that his performances are no different from those he has performed in Russia at the moment.

Already postedthat M. Galkins has discovered that he plans to travel to Latvia this summer – on August 4, his concert will take place in Jurmala, Dzintari Concert Hall.
