The Xunta will adopt measures to face the increase in infections in the sixth wave of the covid-19 pandemic, including accelerating the vaccination of people aged 60 and 69, expanding the requirement for a covid-19 certificate for mass events and cinemas, and reducing the dimension of the gatherings in the Christmas festivities.
This has been announced by the Galician president, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, in the parliamentary session of control of the autonomous government, in which he has recommended reducing the number of diners per table at lunches, dinners and other meetings of the Christmas festivities to a figure still pending to “specify” by the health authorities.
