The day care centers of A coruña, pending the final decision of the Xunta. The Department of Social Policy has met with the sector to address the opening of centers for children under three years, in a meeting in which both public and private entities have agreed that, if it occurs, it should not be until after the de-escalation plan is concluded.
Waiting for protocol
Infant schools are now waiting for the Xunta to publish the work and care protocol for the little ones this week. This question is essential now not only to detail security measures, but so that nurseries know how many children they can enroll in the next course.
“We are a little pending all the schools of the opening date and the protocol that is the most important thing we need at the moment, and we have been fighting for it practically since it was closed,” recalls Beatriz Iglesias, from the Galician Association of Infant Schools (Agadei).
From the public part, they choose to wait until September due to the lack of conditions to open and of protocols by the Administration.
