Galicia incorporates chronically ill patients into the vaccination strategy | Radio Galicia

This week Galicia will receive around 115,000 vaccines, the majority from Pfizer. From Astrazeneca barely 7,000 will arrive and you will receive a testimonial amount of Jansen, the first of a single dose that the community will have.

With these vaccines, SERGAS plans a new week of mass vaccination in the age groups between 75 and 79 years, Y between 60 and 65. It will try to complete these two stripes. And as a novelty, one more group is added, the chronically ill, cancer and immunosuppressed.

The Minister of Health, Julio García Comesaña, appears this Tuesday in Parliament to explain the details of the vaccination schedule for the next few weeks. At the moment, it slows down with respect to the initially planned deadlines, and that is that fewer Astrazaneca vaccines arrive.
