Galicia faces a major impact crisis after the pandemic. The economic vice president of the Xunta, Francisco Conde, assures in the SER that the service sector will take the worst part, but is convinced that they will open opportunities in areas such as artificial intelligence.
The Xunta recognizes that it will be difficult to recover from a drop in Gross Domestic Product of 8.9 percent. Conde trusts that Galicia can take advantage of the new scenario with the arrival of European funds, and asks the central executive for greater sensitivity. In addition, it considers that the community resists better than the State as a whole.
The economic vice president is more critical of the role the government is playing in the Alcoa sale operation. He asks the Ministry of Industry to lead the negotiations with companies interested in taking over the A Mariña plant and not to leave the workers alone.
