The Xunta de Galicia continues its plan to reactivate the cultural sector. On this occasion he presented the live music program ‘Galicia Emerges’. This initiative seeks to alleviate the losses of Galician artists during the Covid-19 health crisis. Besides, the Galician Agency for Cultural Industries (Agadic) has pledged to promote aid for the cultural sector in the coming months.

The regional government will invest 500,000 euros to provide income and economic liquidity, as well as in a new platform for the dissemination of its work on audiovisual channels.
After the agreement with the CRTVG Galicia, the chain will broadcast the different concerts of the program ‘Galicia Emerges’, which can also be seen on YouTube and music streaming platforms, which have become so fashionable during the lockdown.
This will be the program ‘Galicia Emerxe’
The live concerts of 50 soloists or groups will last half an hour. And they will be recorded during the month of September at the Museo Centro Gaiás de la City of Culture of Galicia, from Santiago de Compostela. The general public will attend the recordings as long as the capacity indications and hygienic safety measures allow it.
During this first fortnight of June, the call for the selection of singers and bands will be made public. The request must be proposed by their agencies or representatives and will be chosen by an independent commission.
