Those hospitalized by the covid-19 in Galicia they drop to 301, one less than the previous day, while the active cases they also fell slightly -16 less- and stagnate at 18,869. The new infections, meanwhile, fall but remain above a thousand, at 1,171. In addition, the positivity rate continues to rise and reaches 12.11% in the Galician community.
According to the data updated on the morning of this Saturday by the Regional Ministry of Health with records up to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, collected by Europa Press, the number of people admitted to the ICU for covid-19 amounts to 40 -four ms-, but decreases in five, those who are hospitalized in other units -261-.
By health areas, hospital pressure is relieved in Ourense, which adds one more covid patient in ICU -four in total- and reduces to 34 those admitted to other units -six less-; and in that of Vigo, where there is one less hospitalized patient on the ward -45 in total-, but those admitted to critics remain in two.
It also drops in Lugo, which keeps the three covid patients in the ICU, and registers a decrease in the number of patients admitted to other units -four less-, thus remaining at 37; and in Pontevedra-O Salns, which although it maintains six patients in critical care, registers three fewer in conventional units -39-. The Ferrol health area, for its part, has one less hospitalized patient -14-, and maintains six hospitalized in critical units.
On the other hand, hospital pressure increases in A Corua and Cee, where covid patients in the ICU rise to 16 -two more- and those in other units also rise to 64 -four more-, and in Santiago and Barbanza , which has one more patient in the ICU – three in total – and has 28 in other units – six more.
Active cases down
Active cases of covid register a slight decrease, with 16 fewer infections, after 37 consecutive days on the rise, and stand at 18,869, as there are higher (1,184) than infections (1,171), to which are added three deaths.
By health areas, active cases fell again in Ourense (-114), which registered several consecutive days down; to which is added that of Santiago and Barbanza (-33) and Pontevedra and O Salns (-16); while in the rest there are: A Corua and Cee (+64); Vigo (+64), Lugo (+6) and Ferrol (+13).
Therefore, with more active cases, the Vigo area continues, with 4,539; followed by A Corua and Cee, with 3,827; Pontevedra and O Salns, with 3,015; Santiago and Barbanza, with 2,324; Lugo, 2,218; Ourense, 1983; and that of Ferrol follows the tail with less than a thousand, with 963.
