Gáldar opens its History Museum (video)

The mayor of Gáldar, Teodoro Sosa, inaugurated this Saturday the Agáldar Museum, focused on the history of the city from the pre-Hispanic period to the 21st century.

The museum project has been in charge of the company,, Gaia Consultores Insulares SL, already 85% co-financed with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the DUSI Strategy of which the City Council of Gáldar has been awarded, and with the remaining 15% of the council’s own funds.

The Museum, located in the Casa del Capitán Quesada, has thirteen exhibition rooms and is also equipped with numerous screens, tablets, virtual reality devices and up to three holograms that will immerse the visitor in the historical reality of Gáldar.

The mayor of Gáldar, Teodoro Sosa, highlighted the effort made by the City Council so that Gáldar has a Museum of Height, and had words of memory for the councilor Encarnación Monzón, who was in charge of directing the restoration works of the property .
