Galaxy S21 FE will benefit from fast charging of just 25 watts

The Galaxy S21 FE has just obtained certification for its charger. The latter will offer a power of 25 watts. Same power as most of the brand’s mid-range and high-end smartphones. We are far from a competition which adopts a fast charge at 50 or 65 watts, even for models sold under the bar of 600 euros.

The Galaxy S21 FE would come with the 25 watt charger of the Galaxy S21

Fast charging is a common feature in smartphones today, even on the mid-range. This allows your mobile to charge faster. If you have a quarter of an hour you can earn up to 50% more autonomy. Which is good for troubleshooting. Of course, fast charging puts more physical strain on the battery cells. But the benefits are important for the user.

A good fast charge today delivers 50 watts or more of power. You can find compatible models at Oppo, Xiaomi, Realme, Honor, Asus, OnePlus, Vivo, Huawei or ZTE. But not at Samsung. The Korean brand is satisfied, for some models, with a 45 watt fast charge. This is the case of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, the Galaxy Note 10+ or the Galaxy S10 Lite. None of the models released in the last 12 months are compatible.

The Galaxy S21 FE will support 25 watt fast charging

Since the second half of 2020, the highest charging power in the Galaxy is 25 watts. Galaxy S21 Ultra. Galaxy Note 20. Galaxy A52 5G. Etc. And it should stay that way again with the very upcoming Galaxy S21 FE which has been leaked several times in recent weeks. The smartphone has received its certification from the Chinese body 3C. This certification confirms that the Galaxy S21 FE will have a charger compatible with a voltage of 11 volts and an intensity of 2.25 amps. Let a power of 25 watts. Always the same.

There are two assumptions behind this information. Either Samsung will only deliver a 25 watt charger with its phone, but the latter will support a higher power. This was the case with the Galaxy Note 10+, whose 45-watt charger was optional. A tactical error widely pointed out. Either Samsung will deliver a suitable charger, like all recent models, indicating that the Galaxy S21 FE will only support a power of 25 watts, like its predecessor, the Galaxy S20 FE. We obviously lean for the second hypothesis. And that’s almost a shame.
