If you have a Galaxy S20, S20+ or S20 Ultra we have bad news because apparently there is a problem with the screens on these devices. The big thing is that they are only showing up, more or less, a year after purchase. There is a kind of alternation between white and green. The good news is that even if this happens they are covered by the warranty. So, not everything is bad.
Galaxy S20/Ultra: screens are giving problems a year later!
This is not the first time this has been mentioned. In fact, the first cases date back to May. Time when a user used the Samsung forums to complain about it. First he noticed a small “shivering” on the screen when he was playing. At that time Samsung requested that the device be reset. After that the screen started to alternate between green and white. Strangest is that the equipment even overheated.
Unfortunately this is not an isolated case. There is a post on Reddit I’ve been talking about this for days. In this post, it is also quickly noticed that the prevalence of cases occurs one year after the acquisition.
However there is also a YouTube video that can be seen below that demonstrates the problem. Now looking at the comments there are more people complaining about it.
Interestingly though the users Galaxy S20 Ultra seem the most affected, some people say that this already happened at the time of the S9.
As you can see, user frustration levels start to get high. Mainly because nobody knows what causes the problem. That is, whether this is due to software or hardware. There are people who are linking this situation with the April/June updates.
However Samsung has not yet commented on this situation. One thing is for sure, the green screen of death problem will continue to be talked about.
