Galaxy S20: Night Mode, Zoom 30x … discover the first photos!

The Galaxy S20, S20 + and S20 Ultra will be presented on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, but already the first photos taken with the new smartphones are starting to surface. We discover more brilliant and detailed night photos than those of an S10 as well as a rather stunning 30x hybrid zoom.

The Galaxy S20, S20 + and Ultra will be revealed ata Samsung Unpacked event on February 11, 2020. But we know as usual already a lot on these smartphones. In particular that they will do a new tour de force in photos. On the eve of their presentation, the very first photos taken with the smartphone appeared on Twitter.

The first photos come to us from XDA Developers reporter Max Weinbach. In a first salvo of four photos, we discover the night mode of the S20 compared to the S10. The photos are thus much brighter, and above all much more detailed. The colors also seem less orange, and more faithful to reality.

The second burst of images shows a comparison between the wide angle of the S20 and the wide angle of the S10. The first is less bright than the second, but it distorts the lines less, even if the optical deformation remains visible. Finally, Max Weinbach also posted a zoom photo taken with the main sensor. The reporter took a picture of the Sega Genesis box.

The 30x zoom makes barely visible details visible on the original photo. There is of course a lot of grain and chromatic aberrations. But it is possible to read all the text on the button “Genesis 30 anniversary” – including, precisely, the word “anniversary” written in very small or the few inscriptions that can be seen below.

Of course, this is only the first glimpse to be taken with the utmost caution for this type of leak. The author of these photos is content to say that they were taken with an S20, without it being clear whether it is the classic S20, an S20 + or the S20 Ultra.
