Samsung, the South Korean smartphone maker, has reportedly revoked its Note phones, a series aimed at professionals. The company is now focusing on other devices, including foldable smartphones and the Galaxy S series.
Galaxy Note smartphone fans have received some bad news this year. Smartphones are not updated in 2021 and according to information from Korean media ETNews It will happen again in 2022. That’s enough to worry about the worst for the pro smartphone lineup.
Other smartphones have taken over
Thanks to the built-in stylus, the Galaxy Note distinguished itself from its younger sibling, the Galaxy S, when it launched in 2011. This accessory takes the brand image more seriously. The stylus lets you take notes and reply to emails more easily or navigate your phone in a different way. It was also a way for Samsung to differentiate itself from the more popular Galaxy S line.
But over time, “surface” or “entertainment” phones gained more substance and success, and the Galaxy S became the company’s flagship product while the Note lost its popularity with consumers. The Galaxy S inherits many of the features of the Galaxy Note, including the stylus – which is not integrated or included with the phone.
Samsung hasn’t given up on the professional market, but it’s not with the Note that wants to stay, but with its line of foldable phones: the Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold.
Thanks to them, the South Korean manufacturer maintains a “professional” orientation, as foldable smartphones are closer to tablets. So it’s easier to work with compared to traditional smartphones, at least in theory. In practice, this series of phablets are still tools, but in the years to come, they could truly become essential tools for working anywhere, for example.
After production
Galaxy Note production is rumored to have been replaced by production Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip ETNews, raising concerns that the business phone line is running out.
However, the news is unofficial, and Samsung could change its mind – even though the Galaxy Note 2022 is a fantasy – and restart this line of phones, but sadly that seems unlikely.
The upcoming Galaxy S (22 Ultra) should replace the Galaxy Note, as will future foldable smartphones from the manufacturer. In fact, in the near future, the latest generation of smartphones may integrate a stylus, replacing the Galaxy Note completely.
