Galaxy A14 5G official as Samsung’s first Galaxy A 2023 smartphone

Less than a week after saying goodbye to 2022, Samsung officially launched its first Galaxy A smartphone for 2023. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A14 5G, the successor to the Galaxy A13 5G for 2021, one day ahead of the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES). ) in Las Vegas, United States.

Galaxy A14 5G comes with a number of specification updates

Information regarding the Galaxy A14 5G has been leaked several times in recent months and most of it seems to be spot on. The phone features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and is powered by the new Exynos 1330 processor, which replaces the MediaTek chip that powers the Galaxy A13 5G, while retaining the same 5,000mAh battery before.

The A14 5G comes with 4GB/6GB of RAM paired with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, with the option to increase the storage by 1TB using the microSD slot. Image-wise, the A14 5G features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera, 2MP depth cameras, and macro cameras, while the front camera gets an upgrade to a 13MP sensor .

Galaxy A14 5G is the first Samsung phone announced with Android 13 and One UI (Core) 5.0 running on it. However, in terms of software updates, the A14 5G will receive no special treatment and is only eligible for two years of OS updates and four years of security updates.

Sales of the Galaxy A14 5G start in April

Samsung will offer four color options for the A14 5G: black, silver, dark red and light green. Pricing starts at €229 for the 4GB + 64GB variants and the phone will be sold in all European markets from April. Availability details for other markets, along with pricing information for other memory configurations, are currently unknown.
