Galax RTX 4090 HOF at 3.7 GHz sets new world records

The Galax RTX 4090 HOF was overclocked to a whopping 3.7 GHz, setting a new world record for GPU clock speeds. Likewise, it also occupies the top spot in 3DMark Port Royal.

At the beginning of the week, we were able to show the first images of the upcoming Galax graphics card RTX 4090 Hall of Fame (I HAVE F). After that, it didn’t take long before the overclockers who got their hands on this extreme graphics card started setting new world records.

The new records were set by the Greek OGS overclocking team. Starting with the record clock speed, OGS was able to push the RTX 4090 HOF to 3.7 GHz using liquid nitrogen. This means that the Galax RTX 4090 HOF is now in the world clock frequency record on a graphics processor. At this insane frequency the card has been tested GPUPI (32B) and was able to complete the test in 49 seconds. This should be around 16 seconds faster than what a non-overclocked RTX 4090 achieves in the test.

Moving on to 3DMark’s Port Royal test suite, OGS used a slightly lower clock rate of 3.57 GHz for the GPU. Video memory was set at 23.5 Gbps for a memory bandwidth of a whopping 1,128 GB / s. Here OGS managed to get one final score of 31,096. This is 1,035 points more than what BPS Customs, which holds second place, managed to achieve.

As expected, the Galax RTX 4090 HOF has become a device that has taken world record lists by storm. Something that is perhaps unsurprising considering how well sized the board is in terms of current phases, dual 12VHPWR connections and the like.
