(ABM FN-Dow Jones) Onno van de Stolpe leaves Galapagos. This was reported by the Belgian-Dutch biotech company on Monday evening.
Van de Stolpe will retire, but will remain on until a successor is found, according to Galapagos. The company’s supervisory board has launched an external search for his replacement.
Van de Stolpe was one of the founders of Galapagos in 1999. “My time at the helm of Galapagos is coming to an end,” the CEO said in a statement.
“Boosted by our healthy cash position and the long-term R&D partnership with Gilead, I am confident that the company is in a good position to grow again from here,” said Van de Stolpe.
