Four years after the death of its emblematic owner, this cabaret, which has become a monument of the capital’s nights, will experience a second life. At the origin of this new project, a comedian: Gad Elmaleh. While he came to promote his single on stage “Himself”, Gad Elmaleh did not hesitate to express himself on the concept that he wishes to develop in the old cabaret.
During this interview, Gad Elmaleh looks back on the moment he saw the establishment for the first time. He recalls: “When I was preparing Chouchou, I went to visit it to see a little bit of what the shows were like, then to get inspired to write the film, and I loved this universe, I loved what it was like. represents. I love what it represents of Paris, of freedom, of creation, the character of Michou. All this made me dream, it was music in all its splendor. (…) So I am very, very proud. »
