The Egyptian Stock Exchange made market gains of £22.2 billion, closing the market capitalization of shares of listed companies at £973.5 billion, up from £951.3 billion, a growth rate of about 2.34%.
The leading market index, EGX30, rose by 2.04%, to 15,141.55 points, and the small and medium-sized business index, EGX70, rose by 4.97%, to 2,864.04 points, and the gains extended to the EGX100 index, which added about 4.84% to its value, to conclude the transactions at the level of 4214.35 points.
The total value of trades on the Egyptian Stock Exchange was approximately 19.7 billion pounds, while the trading volume was equal to approximately 6.851 million securities executed on 514 thousand transactions, during the trading week ended.
