Gael Monfils Advances to Second Round in Washington Tournament

The French wild card Gael Monfils reached the second round of the Washington tournament, dismissing the American qualifier Bjorn Fratangelo (6-3, 6-4) in Washington, Tuesday in night session.

Monfils, ranked No. 323 in the ATP, will face No. 6 seed Alexander Bublik in the second round of the Washington tournament.
