Swimmer Gael Khalil participated in the Junior Open Water World Championships held in the Seychelles in a 10km race, setting a new Lebanese record of two hours, 47 seconds and 80 percent, and the previous record of two hours, one minute and 17 seconds , which was obtained by the same swimmer in a stage of the World Cup in France last July. Interestingly, this is the first time a Lebanese player has participated in the Junior Open Water World Championships.
