Supermercados Gadis sum a new initiative to the campaign #Gadiscolabora, which develops in the framework of its programme of Corporate Social Responsibility. On this occasion, the company fixed its objective of solidarity in 11 food banks of Galicia and Castilla y León and other charitable organizations. In total, the donation amounted to 30.000 kg of non-perishable products.
The food banks have been requested, primarily, basic food products in response to the identified gaps in households and various entities with which they collaborate. In response to this demand, Gadis has prioritized the delivery of milk, biscuits, cereals, preserves, oil, pulses and rice, which account for more than 40,000 units of product.
The company cooperates regularly with the food banks, but has wanted to reinforce his support in these times due to the pressing situation experienced by the most vulnerable. The eleven entities that receive the aid are the A Coruña, Ferrol and Santiago (Banco de Alimentos Rías Altas), as well as the Vigo, Ourense, Lugo, Valladolid, León, Ponferrada, Avila, Zamora, Salamanca and Palencia. Gadis also has wanted to collaborate with the Kitchen Economic of A Coruña and Ferrol, as well as the Home of the Passer-by of Ponferrada, in addition to other charitable organizations of the two autonomous communities that is providing your help.
