Gaby Izaguirre underwent a check-up at the Applied Sciences Clinic before CCONDEKA – – 2024-02-26 06:47:52

Yesterday Gabriella Izaguirre visited the Applied Sciences Clinic of the National Sports Institute of El Salvador (INDES) to receive a session of selective radiofrequency and pressotherapy as part of her physical maintenance prior to participation in the CCONDEKA 2024, which will take place on the 22nd. to February 24 at the Cuna del Mágico.

With the attention of specialized personnel plus modern and high-tech equipment, the Applied Sciences Clinic is a promise fulfilled for athletes to perform physical strengthening, prevention and treatment of injuries.

“Today I did a leg load because I just returned from a training base in Chile and this Saturday I have a competition. At the moment I don’t have any injuries, I have taken great care of myself and now it was just a de-loading session to stay well and be able to give my best this Saturday at CCONDEKA,” commented the athlete.

Bryan Fernández, head of physiotherapy, confirmed that Izaguirre is in excellent physical condition and has followed the respective instructions.

“We have checked that she is okay, she comes from a training center in Chile. Gaby is in her best moment, this is the best I have seen her physically and this is because she has rigorously complied with the nutritional and psychological care and has followed the instructions. Things are going from good to better,” explained Bryan Fernández.

Izaguirre comes to CCONDEKA after almost three weeks of training in Santiago de Chile with the national team of that country.

“One of the missions we have is to make the athletes feel at home, comfortable, and here we are going to give them a lot of care. In selective radiofrequency we are generating heat of greater amplitude to relax the muscles, accompanied by a sports massage and then we went to pressotherapy to help the circulatory system, plus a stretching session. In addition to that, we leave you some tasks to do at home,” Fernández added.

After the session, Gaby reports ready to participate in the Central American Karate Championship, which will be her first official competition on the 2024 calendar.

“I’m happy because I’ve taken great care of myself in terms of diet and the physical part, and coming here for me means de-stressing, I have a great time with all the people and I have a lot of confidence in the team. The support provided by INDES and the physiotherapy team is a plus for all athletes,” Gaby stressed.

The athlete will compete in individual kumite in the -50 kilogram category and team kumite.

“My goal is to win a gold medal, now I will not be able to compete like last year, when I did seven categories in one day, but now as a senior category athlete I am only going to do kumite -50 kilograms and the idea and objective is to win a gold medal,” said the athlete.

Gaby reported that after CCONDEKA he will return to the Chilean capital to continue with his training base and will travel to Turkey on March 11 to compete in the Premier League in the city of Antalya.

“From here I leave on Monday for Chile and from there I will travel to Turkey for the Premier League. I will have three Premier Leagues this year plus the Central American Caribbean Championship and the Major Pan American Championship. It is going to be a very demanding year and I am going to stay well physically and mentally to give my best in each competition,” he added.
