The candidate for prime minister with the first term Nikolai Gabrovsky presented women’s cabinet today on the return of the mandate to the presidency.
Nikolay Pavlov, the former director of Bulgargaz, is offered as Minister of Energy. As already assumed by the Minister of Defense of the Cabinet Petkov Dragomir Zakov he is proposed as head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE).
Among others, the names of Proshko Proshkov, Meglena Tacheva, Meglena Plugchieva, Martin Zahariev and others who have already participated at various levels in state governance.
Through the composition of the Council of Ministers, Nikolay Gabrovski expects to be able to de-escalate tensions, enter a normal tone of talks and move towards the main goals of avoiding confrontation and taking Bulgaria out of the crisis it is in. The Council of Ministers and its members are able to lead Bulgaria through crises, because all people are well known in professional circles, emphasized the candidate for the post of Prime Minister.
According to him, the cabinet ministers of the project can work effectively and deal with crises: budget vote, price stabilization, Schengen and Eurozone, Recovery Plan. All this must happen in a short period of time, and Gabrovski is convinced that the people he proposes will be able to cope with the tasks.
President Rumen Radev added that it is not an easy task to seek support in the National Assembly and today the head of state will issue a decree to vote on the draft cabinet in the parliament.

Marinella Petrova, candidate for Minister of Finance – began her career 30 years ago in the Agency for Planning and Economic Development of the Ministry of the Interior in the last position of expert, Deputy Minister of Finance in three governments, one of which was official. You led the MoF team during the Bulgarian presidency of the EU as well as during the ERM2 negotiations. She is currently President of the Development Bank of the Council of Europe, member of the board of directors of the European Investment Bank and the European Investment Fund.
Noble Makeva, proposed Minister of the Interior – with over 23 years of experience in the Ministry of the Interior, he started from the lowest position in a regional administration and rose to the position of deputy director of the Directorate General “State Police”. She was chairman of the Standing Committee on Human Rights and Police Ethics at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as a member of the Monitoring Committee of the National Multiannual Program of the Republic of Bulgaria under the Internal Security Fund and director of the Directorate “Public registers” at the KPCONPI. She was also chair of the law enforcement working group at the Council of the EU during the Bulgarian presidency.
Atanas Zaprianov, candidate for defense minister – in 2002-2003 he was the head of the Military Academy “GS Rakovski” and from 2003 to 2006 – deputy chief of staff of the Bulgarian army for resources. From June 2006 to March 2010 he was Bulgaria’s military representative in the NATO Military Committee and in the EU Military Committee. He was also Deputy Minister of Defence. From January 2019 to December 2021 he was Chairman of the Management Board of the European Defense Agency.
Dragomir Zakov, appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs – in the period 2002-2004 he was Attaché in the “NATO and International Security” Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from 2004 to 2008 he was successively Attache, Third and Second Secretary in the Permanent Delegation of Bulgaria in NATO , from 2011 to 2014 – first Secretary of the Mission of Bulgaria to the UN. Until the beginning of 2019 he was successively Head of the “Arms Control” Department, Director of the “Security Policies” Directorate and Deputy Political Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and since March 2019 he is Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Bulgaria in NATO . Martin Danovsky, proposed Minister of Economy and Industry – was an adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister’s cabinet on European funds. Vasil Grudev, candidate for the post of Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry – has been working in DFZ since 2006, and since 2013 he has held the positions of expert, chief expert, head of department, deputy executive director and finally became executive director. Krasimir Simonsky – appointed Minister of Electronic Government – from September 2007 to October 2009 he was Vice President of the State Agency for Information and Communications Technologies in the “Information Technologies” department. From the beginning of 2013, he was the Executive Director of the Executive Agency “Electronic Communication Networks and Information Systems” until his appointment in 2016 as Vice-President of the State Agency “Electronic Government”. From June 2021, he served as the agency’s chairman and national cybersecurity coordinator until it closed with the creation of the Ministry of eGovernment.
Nicholas Pavlov, proposed for Energy Minister – was Chief Financial Officer and Board Member of NEK and Board Member of “Contour Global Maritsa Iztok 3” JSC. In 2015, he became Chief Financial Officer of Bulgargaz EAD and from 2016 to early 2017, he was the Executive Director of the company. Martin Zakhariev, candidate for Minister of Tourism – journalist and publicist related to the right-wing political space. Member of the 42nd National Assembly with civil quota, member of the Culture and Media Commission and of the Transport, Information Technologies and Communications Commission. Since 2016 he has been the executive director of the National Tourist Board.
Boril Krastev, appointed Minister of Youth and Sports – actively participated in the training of Tokyo Olympic boxing champion Stoika Krasteva, has many years of experience in managing and organizing sports trainings. He works to support and develop children’s and youth sports and improve conditions in sports halls.
