Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – Goalkeeper Gabrielle Lambert will continue to play for the Bundesliga soccer club SC Freiburg. It was agreed not to disclose the contents of the Canadian’s new contract, as the club announced on Tuesday. “Gaby has done really well in the past few months,” said SC department head Birgit Bauer-Schick about 29-year-old Lambert, who came to Freiburg in winter to represent Rafaela Borggräfe, who was ill. “She initially accepted her role as reserve goalkeeper very well. Lena Nuding’s injury then threw Gaby in at the deep end and showed that we can rely on her.”
