Spect’Art Rimouski confirms the appointment of Gabrielle Fournier as general and artistic director. She succeeds Jacques Pineau, who led the group for more than 35 years.
Ms. Fournier, who lives in Rimousk, has accepted and pursued her career in the cultural world for 10 years. She has mainly held positions as director of programming, artist representation, institutional and promotion manager, as well as having created a production company.
“I strongly believe in an innovative approach focused on exploring new ideas and adapting to change. I am sure that this approach will allow us to deal effectively with the current challenges in the broadcasting and entertainment industry and to realize our full potential as an outstanding broadcaster,” she explains.
The board of directors states that Gabriel Fournier was appointed after a rigorous selection process. His arrival will take place in June.
“Gabrielle brings a fresh and dynamic perspective to Rimouski’s Spect’Art. Their inspiring leadership and commitment to excellence promises creativity and innovation for the organization and the local arts community,” said its president, Marie-Josee Papillon.
