Mexico City. The Undersecretary of the Treasury Gabriel Yorio González will not repeat his position during the administration of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.
According to sources consulted by The Daywhich are aware of the issue, the second most important official within the federal agency will leave his position once the administration of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador ends.
This occurs after the elected president Sheinbaum Pardo declared on September 12 that “practically the entire Treasury team is staying, only the Undersecretary of Expenditure, Juan Pablo de Botton, is leaving for the City government.”
“It is a very good team, it is an honest team, that knows public finances, our project, so I am very happy working with them,” she said on that occasion when she confirmed that Antonio Martínez Dagnino will continue as head of the Tax Administration Service (SAT).
Yorio González was in the Ministry of Finance since the current administration began. Previously, he was head of the Public Credit Unit and in charge of the International Affairs Unit of the Treasury.
