Manchester City footballers Gabriel Jesús and Kyle Walker have tested positive for covid, as confirmed by the English club.
Two other club employees also tested positive in the weekly Premier League tests.
According to the City, the four will be kept in isolation following the protocol of the Premier and the British Government.
“Everyone at the club wishes our teammates the best, as well as a speedy recovery during the Christmas period before they can go back to work, training and playing,” City added in a statement.
The Premier currently conducts a weekly test on players and team workers, although it plans to increase it to two per week, as it did during the first months after the pandemic, in those areas located at level 4 of infections. Manchester is currently at level 3 with no plans to upgrade.
