Libreville, Thursday December 21, 2023 (Infos Gabon) – The Japanese ambassador, Shuji Noguchi, in Libreville expressed this during an audience granted to him yesterday by the Minister of Mines, Hervé Patrick Opiangah.
Received yesterday in audience by the Minister of Mines, the Japanese ambassador to Gabon took note of the imposing mining deposits contained in the Gabonese subsoil. During their discussions, Hervé Patrick Opiangah and Shuji Noguchi reviewed the different investment opportunities in this undeveloped sector. The host from Libreville did not fail to reaffirm his country’s desire to support Gabon in the development of this economic sector through the implementation of several projects. “I met the Minister of Mines as part of the meetings that I am initiating with the CTRI authorities, more specifically in the area of Mines. There is indeed strong potential in your country and Japanese investors would like to participate in its exploration/exploitation. We therefore discussed the possibility for the Japanese government to make its contribution to this work of edification,” underlined the Japanese diplomat.
Through this desire, the Empire of the Rising Sun, which already maintains multi-sectoral cooperation with Gabon in areas such as health, fishing, education and sport, intends to extend this to the mining sector.
