Prime Minister Raymond Ndong Sima announced this during his press conference held on Wednesday September 27, 2023.
“From my point of view, the national dialogue could be between April and June 2024”, announced Mr. Ndong Sima during this exchange with the press attended by several members of his government and representatives of the diplomatic corps. For the smooth running of this national dialogue, Raymond Ndong Sima announced that he will launch a call for contributions next week to give all Gabonese people (those living in the hinterland and the diaspora) the chance to express and outline their concerns through a document. Contributions must be written in a 10-page document. Each Gabonese citizen will have a period of between 45 and 60 days. A secretariat will subsequently be set up to summarize the volume of contributions received. The Prime Minister also announced that the duration of the Transition will be determined during this national dialogue. Note that, for this national dialogue, which will be organized in 2024, it will be a question of putting on the table, all subjects without taboos, in order to heal the wounds and avoid the mistakes of the past.
