Libreville, Saturday December 23, 2023 (Infos Gabon) – This decision taken by the President of the Republic, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, aims to allow the Gabonese to spend the end of year celebrations without constraints.
In a press release read from Oyem in the province of Woleu-Ntem by Lieutenant-Colonel Ulrich Manfoumbi Manfoumbi, spokesperson for the Transitional Committee for the Restoration of Institutions (CTRI), the Head of State decided to suspend the curfew from December 24, 2023 until January 2, 2024. According to the speaker, this measure aims to allow the population Gabonese woman to celebrate the end of year celebrations without constraint.
This exceptional measure was decided by the Transitional authorities the day after the coup on August 30 for security reasons and ran from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Before being reorganized on September 27 and set from 00 to 5 a.m.
