Libreville, Monday, July 31, 2023 (Gabon Info) – The Minister of State, Minister of the Interior, Lambert-Noël Matha, announced yesterday an operation to enlist nearly 1,200 young Gabonese in this corps.
In order to rejuvenate and strengthen its workforce, a vast recruitment is in sight in the police. The announcement is from the Minister of State, Minister of the Interior yesterday Sunday during an exchange with journalists. With this confirmation, Lambert-Noël Matha has put an end to a rumor that has been circulating for some time in public opinion. The last recruitment within this corps dates back to 2015.
Between 1,000 and 1,200 new police officers will be recruited. While the opening of the submission of applications is imminent, the competition will take place after the general elections on August 26th. Through this enlistment, the government intends to continue the protection of men and property by ensuring the security of the territory.
