Gabon: the 2025 financial bill stands at 4,204.9 billion FCFA – AGP

Libreville, September 13 (AGP) – Based on the main assumptions established by the macroeconomic and budget framework, the draft state budget in 2025 is balanced in income and expenditure at the amount of 4,204.9 billion FCFA, against 4,162 billion FCFA in 2024. An increase of 42.9 billion FCFA, we learned.

This is one of the main economic information from the Council of Ministers this Thursday, September 12, 2024 in Libreville. If this budget aims to support “the reformation of the Constitution, the renewal of institutions, and the continuation of multilateral projects”, it also aims to respect Gabon’s commitments to his technical and financial partners, specifying a press release from the Council of Ministers.

The macroeconomic and budgetary framework for 2025 is based on a projected increase in manganese production of 7.7% to 11.08 million tons in 2025, compared to 10.3 million tons in 2024; an increase in the sales price of manganese by 1.2% to 135.7 US dollars per ton (80,0800 FCFA) in 2025, compared to 134.1 US dollars (79,800 FCFA) in 2024; and an increase in sawnwood production of 3.2% to 1.40 million tons in 2025, compared to 1.36 million tons in 2024.

At the same time, oil production is expected to decrease by 2.1% (from 11.640 million to 11.625 million metric tons). Just as the price of a barrel of oil, which is expected to decrease by 5.1%, from 79.0 US dollars (47,000 FCFA) to 75 US dollars (44,600 FCFA)
