Gabon: suspicious death of a police officer in Libreville – AGP

Libreville, November 11, 2023 (AGP) – A lifeless body of a young police officer in his thirties, named Tony Tchinga Tchinga, was discovered in a courtyard in Akebé, a neighborhood in the 3rd arrondissement of the commune of Libreville , around 4 a.m., the AGP learned from police sources.

According to our information, the young police officer who was on duty at the Police Intervention Staff (EMPI), commonly called Fopi, shared a drink with friends that same night.

It was therefore when he was returning home that he died, in circumstances which remain to be clarified.

As soon as the macabre discovery was announced, several tongues were loosened to put forward the hypothesis of an assassination by poisoning. Judging by the strong presence of blood and drool escaping from the mouth of the deceased.

The Judicial Police Officers (OPJ), responsible for recording violations of the law and searching for the perpetrators, arrived on the scene to reconstruct the facts of this news item which plunged the inhabitants of this neighborhood into total consternation. .
