The president of the National Union of Magistrates of Gabon (Synamag) has called a general assembly for September 15.
After the Transition Committee for the Restoration of Institutions came to power, Gabon’s magistrates wish to agree on the new steps to take. In fact, they are now demanding the entry into force of the text establishing the status of magistrates. Thus, through a press release, Synamag (National Union of Magistrates of Gabon), indicated that: “the executive board of Synamag convenes all of its members to an extraordinary general meeting on September 15». «The agenda will be communicated immediately», Informed Germain Nguéma Ella. Let us remember that it is since December 2022 that the Magistrates have been on strike. The latter demanded the improvement of the living and working conditions of its members through the adoption of the text establishing the status of magistrates. The text was finally adopted in July 2023, but is still not in force, the other related texts having not been taken.
