Libreville, October 16, 2023 (AGP) – The Gabonese government proceeded, this Monday, October 16, in Libreville, to the commissioning of an online platform called “Mbôva” to allow Gabonese people who will not be able to travel directly to the Ministry of Institutional Reforms, to send their contributions which should serve as a working basis for the national debate.

This platform was presented last Friday in Libreville by technicians from the national infrastructure and frequencies agency (ANINF), to the ministers of Institutional Reform, communications, interior delegate, in the presence of the DCA of the Prime Minister and the DG of the Aninf.

Through this platform, contributions can be sent in “Word” format to the address: www.mbova.ga

In addition to this platform, Gabonese people can also submit their contributions to the office of the Ministry of Institutional Reform, located on Boulevard triumphal, in the former provisional headquarters of the National Assembly which faces the Mbolo hypermarket, in the governorates of provinces, prefectures and sub-prefectures.

In terms of writing instructions, contributions must be written in French on ten (10) pages with font 12 and single spacing.

In accordance with the timeline for implementing the transition roadmap presented during the press conference hosted on September 27 in Libreville by Prime Minister Raymond Ndong Sima, the Transition Government launched on October 3, the call for contributions inviting the Gabonese to make their proposals to serve as a working basis for the national dialogue.

Presentation session of the platform by experts in the presence of members of the government concerned.

During this press conference, the head of government announced that a secretariat will then be tasked, alongside the Minister of Institutional Reform, with taking inventory of the problems identified and summarizing them, during the month of December.

It is with this in mind that in the desire to “involve all of Gabonese society in the reflection on the best way to establish the next institutions”, the government has set up a digital platform to allow all Gabonese people without exclusion to send their contributions. Beyond going to submit them directly to the dedicated Secretariat.

“Gabonese people of all ages, living within the national territory or going abroad; those from towns and villages, wishing to take part in this dialogue, are called upon to present their diagnosis of the general or sectoral situation in the country and their proposed solutions in the form of a contribution of ten (10) pages maximum. (character 12; line spacing 1) with a view to preparing the upcoming national dialogue. These documents must be submitted to the Ministry in charge of Institutional Reform,” indicates the communication launching the call for contributions received by the AGP on October 3 and signed by the Prime Minister.

The call for contributions, which is the first stage of the Transition roadmap, must end on November 30.

A road map, it should be remembered, which has six objectives, namely: the restoration of stability and confidence, institutional and legislative reform, the fight against corruption, sustainable and economic development, education and awareness raising, national dialogue and public consultation.
