Libreville, September 17, 2023 (AGP) – The Gabonese national women’s team, currently in training at the Bikélé Technical Center, received, this Sunday morning, the support of a delegation from the Gabonese Football Federation (Fégafoot), a few days before the first leg (September 22) against Botswana.
The delegation from the Executive Committee (Comex) of the Gabonese Football Federation was led by the second vice-president of Fégafoot, Ida Clémence Ossey, in the absence of the president, Pierre Alain Mounguengui. The aim of this visit was to reaffirm the support of this organization for the players and members of the technical staff, a few days before the first leg against Botswana.
An already crucial first round for the national coach, Tristan Mombo and his group, forced to do the work at home and ensure a quiet trip to the return match in Gaborone.
The Gabonese coach had called up, for this double confrontation, a fairly large squad, including 17 players playing locally, and 14 expatriates. The first leg will be played on September 22 in Franceville, capital of the Haut-Ogooué province (South-east).
