Gabon: Dieudonné Aba’a Owono new president of the constitutional court

He was appointed Wednesday, September 6, 2023, by the president of the transition General Oligui Nguema.

The president of the transition has just made the first appointments to allow an overhaul of the institutions of the country. Indeed, the new members of the Constitutional Court have been appointed headed by the magistrate Aba’a Owono appointed President of the Constitutional Court. The latter will be assisted by 8 other members, notably Roger Patrice Nkoghe; Bruno Lependa; Hervé Tako Vendakambano; Christian Bignoumba Fernandez; Euloge Moussavou Bouassa Nzambi; Sosthene Momba; Marie Blanche Bendje marries Babiri and Afriquita Dolores Agondjo marries Banyena. Their aim will be to carry out the process of reforming the high institution in order to promote more democratic functioning. Dieudonné Aba’a senior magistrate who had been in service since 2022 at the Council of State, by this new appointment replaces Marie Madeleine Mborantsuo who has held this position for 32 years in Gabon.
