Libreville, August 30, 2023 (AGP) – The Commander-in-Chief of the Republican Guard (GR), General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema was appointed, this Wednesday August 30, President of the Committee for the Transition and the Restoration of Institutions (CTRI) , at the end of a meeting which saw the presence of all the generals of the Defense and Security Forces, according to the press release made public on national television.
“General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema was unanimously appointed chairman of the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of CTRI Institutions and chairman of the transition,” said military spokesman Ulrich Manfoumbi Manfoumbi.
Immediately after his appointment, the president of the Committee for the Transition and the Restoration of Institutions (CTRI) and president of the transition demanded the reconnection of the optical fiber. He insisted on the need to maintain calm and serenity, restore the signals of television and radio channels on the various channels existing in Gabon.
Moreover, he renewed his call for the preservation of the country’s stability.
“The president of the transition insists on the need to maintain calm and serenity in our country,” said the spokesperson. Before inviting the Gabonese to go about their business from this Thursday.
“As of tomorrow, the Gabonese will be able to go about their business from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.,” concluded the military chief.
