As every August 9, the Gabonese celebrate Flag Day this Friday, under the theme “around the flag let us express national pride”.
Blue yellow green is celebrated on this day. It is a special celebration because this is the first one under the committee for the transfer and renewal of institutions. As soon as he took power, the president of the movement, General Oligui Nguema, decided that students in schools and workers in public and private administrations would now perform the national anthem La Concorde and picking up the colors every Monday from 7:30 am to 8:30 am before starting the work day.
For the committee for the transfer and renewal of institutions (Ctri), this decision will be taken with the aim of ” strengthen the national unity of institutions ”, this is to reinforce the commitment to republican values. This flag brings together all Gabonese people under a common identity and celebrates the values that are unique to our country. The day was established with the aim of strengthening the patriotic spirit.
